Geannine M. Boyette

Geannine has more than 28 years of experience practicing primarily in the area of family law. She concentrates on issues related to child custody, child support, post separation support, alimony, equitable distribution of marital property, premarital agreements, separation agreements, and divorce. Geannine also has substantial experience in Abuse/Neglect/Dependency parent defense, termination of parental rights cases and adoptions.

Geannine was born and raised in North Carolina. She moved to Wilmington in 1987 to attend the University of North Carolina Wilmington and found employment as a Cadet with the Wilmington Police Department. It was during her time at WPD that Geannine developed her love of the law and her love of Wilmington. Geannine returned to Wilmington after graduating law school in 1998, and she continues to “love where she lives”. In addition to her family law practice, Geannine has remained active in public service by continuing to represent indigent defendants. Geannine was the owner and operator of The Boyette Law Firm for 25 years. She joined Block, Crouch, Keeter, Behm & Sayed, LLP as a partner in July of 2026, where she continues to serve clients as part of the firm’s family law team. Outside of the office, Geannine enjoys long walks in the woods, spending time with friends and family, and attempting to master every pinball machine that she encounters.
